Everything is Blooming!!
Well, if it wasn't evident in my last post, it’s definitely very evident this time around!!
Spring has sprung!!!
We’ve been keeping so busy, pruning trees, weeding and raking, fixing some broken steps/gates/rock walls, and getting ready for nice weather….which at first, I was thinking it was going to rain all Spring… but the rains finally took a break, the sun came out, and the weather the past several days has been glorious…. Sunny and in the upper 60’s-lower 70’s.
I started taking pictures over the past month or so and these are just a few of my favorites….
A few of the delightfully fragrant Hyacinths.
This is one of 3 ornamental cherry trees on our property. This one has already leafed out with purplish red leaves!!
I would have never guessed what this interesting tree is….can you?
It’s a Corkscrew Hazelnut Tree….the long ‘catkins’ that are dangling are actually the flowers that will eventually turn into hazelnuts. We've never grown any kind of nuts, so we'll see if we get any. The internet says most of the time, squirrels and birds usually go after the nuts before you can pick them.
More flowers that have been blooming…
The pink flowers in the photo above, called Camellia, have hundreds of blooms! We have 3 of these beautiful (20 feet) tall bushes… 2 pastel pink and one red.
The next 2 pics are of the back of our property, with more fruit trees, meandering pebble paths, and a walk-though arch.
What a blessing to have fresh bouquets every few days!! We have several Lilac trees in white and pink. The red flower in the middle is a Camellia..
Also, on our property is a giant Japanese Maple Bush
And we have dozens of giant ferns….I love this one with interesting twirly ends...
We have dozens of different fruit-bearing trees/bushes...apple, plum, cherry, blueberry, fig, pomegrante, just to name a few!!
Here is just one of the apple blooms!
We had our first fire in the fire pit, cooked the best burgers ever, followed by my favorite….smores!!
With all this beauty and goodness, we have definitely been blessed!
But I also have had a few setbacks, the most recent was an outbreak of poison ivy/oak. I had to see a doctor and get on a prescription, which I am currently fighting on my neck!
In spite of some setbacks, I can truly say God has been so good!
And I am thankful for His provision!

As we celebrate the risen Savior this Easter, I pray you find joy and feel the Lord’s presence in your life
