With a Grateful Heart!


Today, I am sharing the many gifts God has blessed me with over the past few weeks.
In line with the  book: One Thousand Gifts: Finding Joy in What Really Matters
"...if joy is a matter of gratitude, and gratitude is a matter of perspective, then giving thanks changes not only your perspective — but also changes your life."
#1783 - Full moon on a frozen lake.


#1784 - Starting an online Bible Study Group with the book, "Fervent". What a wonderful group of ladies!!

#1785 - Attending church again, after missing several weeks, due to weather issues and family gatherings.

#1786 - A family meeting that could have gone badly, but went well.

#1787 - Celebrating my mom's 79th birthday with ice-cream cake.

#1788 - Laughing at the fact that my hubby left the ice-cream cake out and it melted...but still tasted good! :) 


#1789 - Taking an invigorating, brisk walk on a cold, overcast day!

#1790 - Being able to watch a Bible documentary, with proof of Israel's exodus from Egypt and crossing the Red Sea.

Ugly-Beautiful Graces = Real Life

“Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitudes toward life. The longer I live the more convinced I become that life is 10 percent what happens to us and 90 percent how we respond to it.” ~ Chuck Swindoll Today, I was thinking about a small, but loaded two-word phrase – “REAL LIFE”. What does real life mean to me? Well, I discovered that looking each word up in the dictionary made it difficult to describe, since both had more than 15-28 different definitions.(Wow!)  So, I just kind of meditated for a few minutes on the phrase and considered what real life means to me.  A few words that came to mind   Imperfect Transparent Difficult Harsh   “A daily joy struggle . . . a battle between grudgery & gratitude.” (words from Ann Voskamp) . . .it’s not really what we make of it. . .but what we make of God (our relationship with Him)   An endless cycle of mistakes and graces Living forgiven Ugly-beautiful I st...
