How to Recuperate from a "Crazy" Weekend!

CRAZY! Easter weekend can be like that!
Life's events keep moving us all forward. Our family's no different.
This process of house-hunting and not finding much out there.
Wondering if we are doing the right thing, praying for some evident confirmation.
Lord, help me to trust You!
Patience doesn't come easily for me.
I'm tired of waiting and wondering.
Remind me that You have it all under control.
"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."   -Proverbs 16:3
But we must not forget to take the small moments and count them as important.
Spending a little time with my hubby and son(and his girlfriend).
And with God....I mustn't forget my God.
Getting out and enjoying a little of this early springtime air and sunshine.
A little break to listen to music
fly kites, talk, daydream
Reading the Word, thinking about what Christ did
on Good Friday, and Resurrection Sunday
"There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!"- Romans 5 verses 3 to 6: (The Message)

Easter Day
Church is earlier on this day. The atmosphere, on a normal Sunday, usually can be counted upon to be tense and heated in the car, on the way to church. We all would like to make it there early enough to not have to sit in the back or make a scene to find a seat. But, as usual, we are late.
I know God doesn't care, so why does it upset me so much?
Lord, let me not focus on the little things.
This is a day to rejoice!
Lateness is no excuse to hold back my praises!
"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  -2 Corinthians 4:16-18

There is some cooking to be done ahead and long traveling to see relatives planned.
Easter egg hunt preparations
Knowing that not all family members get along so well at these gatherings.
We try to have fun - food is put out and eaten, games are played, and some of us talk.
Some leave early...it's understood, but nothing is really said.
Dis-functional families -  we all come from or are a part of them.
Again, Lord, I am saddened that this happens,
But for some reason(sin), it does.
It amazes me that every year we celebrate this day,
but can't find a place in our hearts to let go of  hurts and conflicts.
My heart weeps, as I know His must.
We choose to continue living in distant relationships.
HE DIED TO END THIS!!
Forgive us, Lord!!
"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:31-32

How do we recuperate from a Crazy weekend?
Give it to God. Remember what this life is really all about. Praise Him for the small things.
Let go of those things that hold us back.
