A Busy Week Planned

I decided I had better blog early this week, as my hubby and I have a lot planned. We will be heading down to see our son again. We will be celebrating his 21st birthday with him. He is also moving. Not far- just a few blocks from where he lives now. But there is still a lot for him to get done, since he ALSO will be starting a new job AND soon will be starting his freshman year of college!

In all of the busy-ness of life, I am reminded to take time for the Lord.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

... true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.  God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
John 4:23-24

Psalm 119:11 states, "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against God.
Time with God is so important, as the more time we spend in prayer and reading His Word, the more we can live for Him, carrying out His will.

We also need time for rest and relaxation. God set the example, when He rested on the seventh day of creation.
"By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work."
Genisis 2:2

Are you remembering these important things in your life?

Continuing to count my blessings, one by one at   "Multitude on Mondays".
1,443 - Staying cool in the lake, on a hot day.
1,444 - Even the small plans we make are in God's hands.
1,445 - Having a picnic supper in our boat on the lake, as the sun sets.
1,446 - Having my 2 Chihuahuas along, enjoying the boat ride.
1,447 -  A gorgeous evening sky.
1,448 - The Northern Pike that my hubby caught...such a strange-looking fish!
1,449 - Attending the county fair. Seeing all the animals.
1,450 - Being able to watch my 3 grandchildren show their cows.
1,450 - Knowing this: As Christians, we must live our lives in a way that stands out from others, to be like a light in this dark world, so we show others God's light.
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good and praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

  1. Thanks for being a faithful reader and linker. I think I have decided to go back to counting the gifts - the normal way - the Joy Dare is too time consuming but it was fun. My list is much longer when I just write what I see as blessings. I hope to continue my Wednesday posting but just with a Scripture and a list (maybe pictures). I will put up the link if I can.
    Blessings,
    Janis www.janiscox.com

    1. Thanks, Lisa1! I'll definitely check it out! Learning Scripture, so as to bring it to mind when needed, is such a beneficial part of our walk with God!
