Joy Comes in the Morning

Image
"Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives." Psalm 90:14   I am not a morning person, so getting myself up early enough to see the sunrise is a rare thing for me. But lately. the mornings here on the lake have been peaceful, calm, and beautiful. So I set my alarm clock early one morning and enjoyed some amazing views. As I took it all in, I took a few pictur e s and listened to a song by Chris Tomlin, called "Awa ke '. To get the full emphasis of the song and sunrise here, I dispersed the lyrics between pictures, so once you start the Youtube video below , just keep slowly scrolling down and watch the sun rise!  The first 1 minute, 20 seconds is instrumental. What Does Marriage Mean to Today's Generation?

Wha t benefit do es light have ?  These were a few of the questions that swirled in my head recently.     This past weekend we went and visited our son in southern Indiana. We spent one day walking and observing some very unique places in nature and another day in darkness . Roots: As we walked t hrough a park-like setting, we noticed a tree near a stream. I thought of how determined that tree was to reach the water from it's high bank.  It looked as though the grou nd had washed out beneath it, but it still held up and the bran ches had beautiful green leaves growing on them above. "For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. " (Jeremiah 17:8) I thought of h...
