How to Recuperate from a "Crazy" Weekend!

Image
CRAZY! Easter weekend can be like that!  Life's events keep moving us all forward. Our family's no different. This process of house-hunting and not finding much out there. Wondering if we are doing the right thing, praying for some evident confirmation.   Lord, help me to trust You!  Patience doesn't come easily for me. I'm tired of waiting and wondering. Remind me that You have it all under control.    "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."   -Proverbs 16:3 But we must not forget to take the small moments and count them as important. Spending a little time with my hubby and son(and his girlfriend). And with God....I mustn't forget my God. Getting out and enjoying a little of this early springtime air and sunshine.  A little break to listen to music fly kites, talk, daydream Reading the Word, thinking about what Christ did on Good Friday, and Resurrection Sunday "There's more to come:...

Amazed!!

Source: newcreationperson.wordpress.com via Ann on Pinterest When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise , they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”   4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.   6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’” Mark 16:1-7 (NIV)  -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I'...

"Surely, He was the Son of God!"

I cannot fathom all that Jesus suffered on the day of His death. Physically, emotionally, spiritually After the crowd shouted "Crucify Him!" Jesus is flogged and handed over. Jesus is stripped. Jesus is dressed up and mocked. Jesus has a crown of thorns pressed into His head. Jesus is spat upon. Jesus is beaten, over and over again. Simon of Cyrene is commissioned to help carry the cross. They are led out to Golgotha. Jesus is given wine and gall to drink Jesus is nailed to the cross…. Jesus’ possessions are divided between the soldiers who gamble for them. Jesus has the name “King of the Jews” placed above His head. Jesus has robbers either side of Him, also being crucified. Jesus is insulted by passers-by “Come down from the cross if you are the Son of God!” Jesus is insulted by the Chief Priests and elders, “He’s the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him…” Jesus is insulted by the robbers too. Insult after injury...

A Colorful Easter Tea Party

Image
Welcome to my Easter Tea Party!  Just having a small party out on my back deck. Won't you join me, as I share a few old and new tea things.  I don't own any real "spring" looking dinnerware, but I found these paper plates and fun decorations at our local Dollar Tree Store.(Wish they did make this design in dinnerware. I would buy it!) I love flowers and the bright pastel colors are beautiful!  I love the flower edged plate to set my blue frosted cupcakes on.  I couldn't decide which plates to set, as these were lovely, too! So I used both. The little Easter gift baskets were perfect for adding a few jelly-bean eggs.  I just got these new teacups from Pier 1 Imports. I had been wanting to buy these colorful designed cups for quite a while. They came in a set of 4 and are stack-able.  I also got this cute turtle teapot at Pier 1. The colors match the colors in my new teacups.  Another spring-like teapot I've had for years is this birdhouse. It's really ...
